I have been sewing and creating for a long time, and made my first quilt in 1996,
while living in Alaska.
Hey, I needed something to do to fill all those long winter nights.
Since then I've become an avid sewer, and quilter, making everything from pj pants to bed quilts.
My sewing 'career' started in 2008 when I began teaching quilting. What a fun journey it has been.
Since then I have taught many, many classes and met so many wonderful people.
I figure I meet about 30 new people every month so 'please forgive me' if I don't remember your name,
but it certainly doesn't mean I have forgotten you.
In 2011 I got the bug to write patterns, but it scared me to death!
I couldn't imagine that I would be able to write a pattern (that people could understand),
let alone take a cover photo, and print the pattern. Well, after a lot of trial error
and finding the perfect printer people to help me (thank you, Inkspot of Salem)...I did it!
In May of 2013, I went to International Quilt Market as a vendor
in Portland, Oregon and had a blast! It was fun being there with tons of 'famous' quilting people,
and it was successful for my business.
I'm having fun creating new patterns, some have been successful and some have been a flop,
but I will keep pressing on.
Thank you to those who support me, buy my patterns, and have been my students...
I learn SO much from all of you.
